Hedsor House invited Elizabeth Reine to its Great British Summer Showcase this January. We were not disappointed on attendance as the house is truly beautiful. Located only about 45 minutes from London, in Hedsor, Buckinhamshire, England, the house boosts 100 acres of land overlooking the River Thames. It provides the perfect balance away from the hustle and bustle of London and the proximity of the House to one of London’s major airports makes it an ideal venue for international travellers looking to get married in the UK.

We arrived by night which allowed us to see the house beautifully illuminated. Because of its location, the house enjoys totally black night sky this makes it ideal for star gazing, so romantic!

With a high glass dome, the main hall is the central room of the house. It was used as the ceremony room and decorated with romantic floral design by Ruby & Grace, who designed all the floral arrangements of the house that evening. A piano soloist from Young Guns created a relaxed atmosphere on the grand piano upstairs. A discreet musical presence, just what was needed for the perfect cocktail ambiance.

We met truly amazing wedding suppliers like, Mellissa Woodland, a bespoke wedding cake designer. Her cakes tasted as good as they looked and we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful flavour combinations.

In the ballroom Papeterie Eugenie  provided tableplans with glitter outlined cards. Caper Berry joined the stationery and the florist for tables with gold and green tones.

Caper and Berry  also provided other kind of deserts. We were delighted too by vintage tricycles of Ideas Box. In the same area Jascots advised engaged couples about wine and Sipsmiths Bar mixed their very nice gin cocktails showcased on authentic wood stands.

Upstairs I was welcomed by a delicate scent by Design in Scent and Clements & Church, a new luxury bespoke tailors. Then I met a bride dressed by one of the bridal designers from Ellie Sanderson‘s boutique.

The bridal suite is to die for – with elegant victorian decor and grand bridal bathroom fit for royalty.  Joyce Connor from brides and beauty did make-up for potential brides and Pompadour Lingerie  showcased its lingerie collection, which also offer a bespoke service.

Also present were photographer David Bostock , Kissing Gate  for wedding films, and Class Act  for sound, light and production.

The showcase was really a feast for all the senses and we are certain that people left as inspired as we were.
