The Story of Elizabeth Reine

Elizabeth Reine is a bespoke wedding planning company, specialising in luxury destination events. We help couples at every celebration stage – from the proposal, to the wedding to renewing vows and beyond.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer Ade Tolefe is a qualified wedding planner with a distinguished career organising international events and project managing for the UK government.

Ade grew up in the paradise island of Jamaica, where she studied and obtained a Masters in Economics and a BSc in Economics and Management. Shortly after graduation, she moved to the UK where she has lived for 12 years.

In one of her first roles, Ade worked in the voluntary sector as an Event Coordinator and PA to the Chief Executive of a non-profit organisation which helped the families and victims of gun crime. She regularly organised high-profile national events attended by politicians and senior religious and government officials.

Ade moved on to work for the Civil Service as an Assistant Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Climate Change. During her tenure, she organised a number of significant events including the 2005 G8 Gleneagles Dialogue on Climate Change, Clean Energy and Sustainable Development.

After leaving the private office, Ade worked as a key project manager on some of the largest and most pioneering policies that the UK government has ever introduced, often organising and overseeing sizable stakeholder events.

Ade turned this extensive experience and her passion for events, travel and making people happy, into setting up Elizabeth Reine. She is a qualified wedding and events planner who spends her spare time staying up to date on the latest trends and industry developments.

Ade is married with two of the best children in the world. When she is not working, she also enjoys travelling with her family and learning about new cultures and languages. She loves to bake and has been told that she makes a mean cinnamon bun.
